Service Description
Metacognition involves knowing when you know, knowing when you don’t know and knowing what to do when you don’t know. It involves self monitoring and correcting your own learning processes. Research shows that metacognition increases student motivation because students feel more in control of their own learning. Students who learn metacognitive strategies are more aware of their own thinking and are more likely to be active learners who learn more deeply.
